  On the off chance they'll actually answer the phone, you'll be given an appointment so far into the future you'd either die of whatever ailment you're trying to see the doctor for, or you'll recover & thus make the need to see the doctor redundant.
  
  I can appreciate the surgery being busy, but even when they give you an appointment & you attend it two weeks later, you can still spend over 30mins in the waiting room after your appointment time has passed, only to be rushed out the door as soon as you see the doctor.
